1 (4 ounce) sweet potato, cut into 1/3-inch pieces (about 1 cup)
½ cup water
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped yellow onion (from 1 medium onion)
1 tablespoon minced garlic (about 3 garlic cloves)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander

½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 (15 ounce) can no-salt-added black beans, drained and rinsed
