Pasta and White Beans Gratin
Creamy pasta with white beans, topped with breadcrumbs and baked until golden. A cozy vegetarian gratin with simple ingredients and big flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked pasta shells
- 2 cups loosely packed fresh basil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 cup ricotta cheese 1/2 cup chopped onion 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 (15 ounce) cans white beans 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tomatoes, chopped 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1 tablespoon olive oil
