2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 ounce) can no-salt-added tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can no-salt-added tomato paste
½ cup water
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning, crushed
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
9 lasagna noodles
1 egg, beaten
1 (15 ounce) container light ricotta cheese or low-fat cottage cheese, drained
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
¼ cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese (1 ounce)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
